With thousands of clubs and golf retirement communities to choose from – it can be challenging to find what works best for the majority of all golfers. Twenty years ago, when I was a two handicap golfer in New Jersey, I went through a 6-month search to find the best golf clubs for seniors that meets my needs of being affordable and located in an area where golf could be comfortably played 12 months per year.
I searched all over Florida but found the majority of areas too crowded. I also decided that the weather (with fears of hurricanes and humid/hot temperature) was not a good fit for me.

Forest Creek Country Club – Private Gated 36-Hole Golf Course Community
The Forest Creek Country Club is a gated golf community with two championship golf courses designed by Tom Fazio. The sand, soil structure, and the pine trees – allowed the creation of two fantastic golf courses that look like they came from two different areas. Both courses at Forest Creek have a reputation of having some of the finest putting surfaces in the game. The spectacular recently completed clubhouse is located next to the men’s locker room that was recently rated as one of the best in the US.

Pinewild Country Club – Private Gated 36-Hole Golf Course Community
Pinewild, the area’s largest gated golf community, offers its residents a serene and private lifestyle, with spacious lots and pristine views surrounded by two of the most beautiful golf courses found anywhere in the world, one of which was designed by the legendary Gary Player.
This gated golf community has 2/18-hole championship golf courses, tennis courts, a pool, a large driving range and short-game practice area, and a beautiful clubhouse.
