One of the things that first attracted me to South Carolina was the food. I love me some barbecue, and there are plenty of restaurants that serve it around the state. Plus, it’s incredibly cheap to eat out. What’s not to like? A lot of people think that BBQ doesn’t really belong on a hotel menu. But you should try it once, and you’ll see that it’s pretty easy to make. You’ll also find that some of the restaurants in South Carolina serve a diverse range of cuisines. This means that you’re sure to find something that you like, even if you’re not particularly picky when it comes to restaurants. The only downside is that a lot of the food in South Carolina is fried. However, this doesn’t mean that you have to avoid certain parts of the state. There are plenty of restaurants that serve healthy cuisine as well. But you have to search for them. You’ll also find that some of the restaurants in South Carolina are a bit pricey, so make sure that you’re not going there for your everyday meal. There’s also a wide variety of craft beers to be had, from microbreweries all the way up to the bigger brands. For those in the academe, the state has two excellent universities, the University of South Carolina and the South Carolina State University. The first one is the state’s flagship university. It was founded in 1851, and apart from being a beautiful place to study, it has lots of cultural events that students and locals look forward to. It also offers a variety of bachelor’s degrees, as well as a few master’s degrees and even some doctorates. If you’re looking for a place to study, with a campus environment that reminds you of a small town, then the University of South Carolina could be the place for you. The other major university is not really associated with higher learning. But it’s a major tourist destination, especially during the winter months when the temperature is harsh. This is because the South Carolina Aquarium is open year-round, and it’s one of the largest in the country. Moreover, as mentioned above, the state is home to several important cultural institutions, including the Charleston Museum and the North Charleston Library Center. So if you’re looking for some culture, then you could do worse than to visit one of these places. In addition, the Charleston International Film Festival and the South Carolina Aquarium’s Film & Music Festival are both huge events that take place every year. This means that you’ll have plenty of opportunities to meet people and make some new connections. If you love animals, then the South Carolina Aquarium is probably the best place in the state to do that. As mentioned above, it’s one of the largest seafood restaurants in the country. If you’ve never been there, then it’s well worth a visit. Especially since you get to see all sorts of animals in their natural habitat. It’s great for families, as well. There are plenty of children’s activities, as well as a small playground outside.

Apart from the climate, people, and food, one of the other major draws of South Carolina is the scenery. If you’re a nature lover, then this state is paradise. For those who enjoy the great outdoors, there are hundreds of miles of hiking trails, not to mention numerous camping spots. During the summer months, you’ll have gorgeous weather, which means that you can enjoy the outdoors without having to worry about the heat. In the winter, you’ll have to be prepared for bad weather, which in most cases means heavy snowfall. But even then, there are still plenty of areas where you can go outdoors and enjoy the scenery. A lot of the areas are quite picturesque, with pristine forests, dramatic vistas, and isolated beaches. If you’re looking for a place full of beauty and charm, then South Carolina could be the place for you. It’s definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re from a bigger city. Some people even go as far as calling it the most beautiful spot on the East Coast. If you’re not a fan of cold weather, then this state is also full of historic sites, museums, and monuments that you can explore. If you’re interested in history, then this state is a goldmine. There are also lots of parks, both large and small. If you have a dog, then this is also the place to be, since there are so many miles of walking trails where you can explore the forests and beaches together. This is also where you come for music and film festivals, which means there will always be plenty of things going on around the state. If you’re not in the mood for nature and history, then there are plenty of other places you can go in South Carolina. There are plenty of theme parks, as well as upscale shopping centers and luxury restaurants where you can have a break from all that exploring.
